The North West Company announces expanded pharmacy services to Iqaluit NorthMart

Winnipeg, Manitoba, NOV 7, 2025 (TSX: NWC): The North West Company Inc. (“North West”) is proud to announce the re-opening of its new, innovative pharmacy located within NorthMart Iqaluit, serving Iqaluit and the broader Baffin Island region.

This investment will expand access to essential medications and healthcare services for residents across Iqaluit and the Baffin Island region. The new pharmacy features extended hours and advanced technology, including an automated vial-filling system that enhances the accuracy, safety, and efficiency of prescription dispensing. This new system will allow the pharmacy to handle higher prescription volumes and ensure consistent, dependable care for patients in remote communities.

The pharmaceutical investment to the Iqaluit NorthMart location is part of a broader store modernization plan, which will include additional enhancements to the grocery store that are currently underway. The pharmacy is also continuing its partnership with the University of Waterloo to provide work placements for pharmacy students, helping to train the next generation of healthcare professionals for Canada’s North.
