Budget Dialogues 2024
August 13, 2024
Launched today, Budget Dialogues 2024 offer a variety of ways for the public and other interested parties to provide feedback on the territorial government’s 2025-2026 budget, fiscal situation and the Northwest Territories economy.
With rising costs in key areas such as healthcare and climate-related expenses straining the territory’s financial capacity, the work leading to the development and tabling of the 2025-2026 budget is critical. Budget Dialogues 2024 are an opportunity to share your views on how the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) can ensure every dollar is spent in the best way to support the territory’s needs.
Feedback will be gathered in the following ways:
- ONLINE: Go to the GNWT’s public engagement portal to provide detailed input on the budget and spending priorities. The deadline for feedback is September 20, 2024.
- IN PERSON: September 3, 2024, 6 – 8pm, Chateau Nova Hotel, Yellowknife.
- DIRECT ENGAGEMENT: Minister Caroline Wawzonek will conduct engagement sessions with Indigenous governments and Indigenous organizations, community governments, businesses and non-governmental organizations.
