2025 Community Cleanup Superhero character design competition

The Government of Nunavut proudly supports annual Community Cleanup Days in every Nunavut community, uniting all Nunavummiut in the shared goal of fostering cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant communities.

The Department of Environment is launching a season-long (June-September) cleanup campaign designed to create lasting positive change.

Make your mark through our Superhero Character Design Competition! We invite all young Nunavummiut (ages 18 and under) to unleash their creativity and imagination by creating a powerful champion who will inspire and motivate communities across Nunavut to protect and preserve our beautiful land.

Every superhero has great power—and great responsibility! Our theme is: “Our Land, Our Responsibility”.

Send us your design an original superhero who embodies the spirit of environmental stewardship and community pride; extra points awarded to designs that capture traditional Inuit or cultural elements. Scan and submit your artwork to Jalen Tagoona at JTagoona1@gov.nu.ca.
