The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is seeking input from Sahtu residents in Norman Wells and Fort Good Hope on the Oscar Creek Bridge relocation. Meetings will be hosted in each community and are an opportunity for the GNWT to provide an update on the project, discuss the preliminary bridge design, and receive feedback.

Online engagement will be open from April 25-May 25. For more information and to submit feedback online, please visit Have Your Say – Oscar Creek River Bridge Relocation.

The Oscar Creek Bridge will be relocated three kilometres upstream of its current location in the Sahtu Region of the Northwest Territories. The new, permanent bridge will provide a safe and reliable method of crossing the Oscar Creek and will extend the winter road season, increasing the window-of-access for industry and residents. Connecting communities encourages more social opportunities, access to health care facilities, sporting events, and traditional land use areas.
