Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is encouraging the public to provide feedback on the pricing structure of the corporation’s proposed Commercial and Institutional Power Producer (CIPP) Program. The CIPP program is being developed to allow existing commercial and institutional customers to generate renewable energy on their premises and sell all generated energy to QEC.

The corporation has applied to the Minister responsible for QEC to approve the new program. Nunavut’s Utility Rates Review Council, an independent advisory body, is asking for public feedback and will provide advice on the application to the Minister responsible for QEC.

The public can take part in program development by submitting their comments to URRCnu@outlook.com or mailing P.O. Box 1000, Stn 200, Iqaluit, NU, X0A 0H0 by July 20, 2020. Please visit www.qec.nu.ca for more information on the application.
