Notice of QIA General Meeting of Members and QIA Board Meeting
Iqaluit, Nunavut, January 19, 2023 – The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) will be hosting a General Meeting of Members and a Board of Directors Meeting tomorrow, January 20, 2023. Both meetings are open to the public in Iqaluit and will be available to LIVE viewing from our Facebook page.
If you would like to attend in person, meeting will start at 8:30 AM at the Aqsarniit Hotel and Conference Space.
The meetings will include an orientation of newly elected members to the QIA BOD, Selection of Executive Committee members and the selection of a Vice President who will serve until the 2024 Election.
There will be several topics under discussion, including the QSTEP multi-year contribution agreement, review of Indigenous Community Infrastructure Fund expenditures, Hunters support grant funding review, and the beginning of the Arctic Project for Permanence with Oceans North Canada.
