Media Advisory—Tabling of the Report of the Auditor General of Canada on Addictions Prevention and Recovery Services in the Northwest Territories—Tuesday, 31 May 2022

Ottawa, — The Office of the Auditor General of Canada will present its Report on Addictions Prevention and Recovery in the Northwest Territories to the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, 31 May 2022.

Opportunity for media to review the report in advance of tabling in the Assembly. Auditors will be present to answer questions from journalists. Prior to accessing the report, journalists will be required to sign an undertaking. They are no longer required to remain in the room until the report has been tabled.

Electronic embargoed copies of the report will also be available from 1 pm Mountain Time. To receive one, journalists need to pre-register and to sign an undertaking before tabling day. Please send an email to infomedia@oag-bvg.gc.ca to receive all the information.

Tabling of the Report

The Report is tabled by the Speaker in the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly and made available on the Office of the Auditor General of Canada website.

Approximately 3 pm to 3:30 pm Mountain Time (once the report is public)

Principal Jo Ann Schwartz will hold a news conference in the Committee Room A of the Legislative Assembly. Journalists can participate in‑person or by teleconference. For remote access instructions, please email infomedia@oag-bvg.gc.ca
