City calls for proposals for art installation
The City of Iqaluit is now accepting proposals for the design and installation of an art mural inside the Council Chambers at our newly located City Hall in Building 1085. We invite Nunavut artists working in paint media to submit a proposal.
The intent of this mural is to create a visual story that will live in Council Chambers, a place where council members shape the future of Iqaluit. As such, an application must incorporate the City of Iqaluit’s vision and mission and demonstrate a clear concept of the finished artwork.
The successful applicant will receive a one-time payment of $5000.00 to cover all cost necessary to create the installation on a 17.50 feet x 8.0 feet wall. The artist will retain intellectual property rights over their artwork.
Interested artists can find the application details at: https://www.iqaluit.ca/content/call-proposal-art-installation-2021-english
The deadline for applications is Wednesday, March 03 2021 at 4:30 p.m. local Iqaluit time.
