Call for proposals: childrearing community funding initiatives
The Department of Family Services is now accepting proposals for community-based childrearing programs to be delivered in the 2024-2025 fiscal year. These programs should aim to rebuild and strengthen Inuit traditional childrearing teachings and practices and help in reducing poverty.
Non-profit organizations, Inuit organizations, societies and municipal corporations can apply for funding for projects that include but are not limited to:
Revitalizing the wisdom and practices of Inunnguiniq.
Support healing and wellness for parents/guardians and their families.
Strengthening the roles of family and community in childrearing.

The application deadline is April 15, 2024 at 5 p.m. EST.
