The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) has released the What We Heard: 2022 Anti-Poverty Roundtable report.

This report summarizes the main discussions and themes surrounding housing and homelessness discussed during the Anti-Poverty Roundtable held May 3-4, 2022 in Yellowknife and virtually.

Some of the topics explored at this year’s event include:

  • Housing priorities in NWT communities
  • Community-based housing and homelessness solutions
  • Research partnerships to address NWT housing and homelessness questions
  • Integrating housing and homelessness services with other support service delivery

The report and the video recordings of the presentations are available here:

The GNWT is committed to reducing poverty in the Northwest Territories (NWT) by working with its partners to advance the Territorial Anti-Poverty Action Plan.  An essential part of this effort is acting as a convener for annual Anti-Poverty Roundtable gatherings of Indigenous and community governments, non-government organizations, community service providers, charitable and philanthropic entities, and the private sector.
